1. Community Board #6 Information activity
Anyone who lives or works in Forest Hills or Rego Park could apply to join CB#6. If you are interested in learning more about what CB6 does, please join us this Sunday 1/21 from 3 PM - 5 PM:

2. New York HEAT Act Albany rally day
This legislation is one of the priorities for the FHGT. A bus will be leaving at 8AM Tuesday 1/23. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided as well as information about why it is important to get this passed.

3. Compost Teach in
We are happy to announce our Food Scrap Drop Off site was saved from the Mayor's cuts. However, other parts of Community Composting were cut. 4. Neighbors for a Safer Austin Street
There is a group of community members who are working with the community board to make Austin Street safer. Here is a link for more information on some of their ideas and a brief survey to provide your feedback:

5. Valentines for Veterans
Senator Addabbo along with a number of other local elected officials is sponsoring a project where you can drop off personal items which will be given to veterans living in the St. Albans Nursing home.
